You didn’t stumble into lust by accident.
You were hunted.
From the first time your innocence was pierced —
through a screen, a scene, a glance, a wound —
a trap was laid.
The enemy studies men.
He knows how to bait the hook.
Maybe it’s boredom.
Maybe it’s stress.
Maybe it’s shame, insecurity, or even success.
Lust doesn’t care if you’re in a pit or on a pedestal — it wants you bound.
And so it lays the triggers.
The flashing image.
The TikTok trap.
The gym glance.
The memory file your brain wants to replay.
But here’s what you need to know:
You are not powerless.
Temptation is not sin.
The trap is not the prison.
The trigger is not the end.
There is always a way out —
and His name is Jesus.
“No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to man.
And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear.
But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.”
— 1 Corinthians 10:13
So where is the escape hatch?
The first look is a test. The second look is a choice.
Flee like Joseph — don’t flirt with fire.
Renew your mind daily — Scripture is the sword.
Don’t go it alone — brothers in Christ are your shield wall.
Pray in the moment — demons scatter when you speak the Name.
You aren’t weak for being tempted.
You’re a threat. That’s why it’s so aggressive.
But the chains are cracking.
The trigger is losing its grip.
The trap has been exposed.
There is a narrow road — and you’re walking it now.
Not with your head down, but with eyes like fire.
