That phrase has become the great cover.
Not just for burnout.
But for backsliding.
Not just for needing rest.
But for slowly quitting on your calling.
Men of God once roared — now they whisper,
“I’m just tired.”
But what if it’s not just fatigue?
What if it’s spiritual warfare?
What if that weariness is not physical —
but demonic?
Hell doesn’t need to defeat you.
It just needs to drain you.
One little compromise at a time.
• Skip the prayer today.
• Watch that video just once.
• Don’t show up to the thing.
• Check out mentally.
• Scroll. Numb. Repeat.
Then boom — the anointing is gone.
It didn’t leave overnight.
It bled out in excuses.
And “I’m just tired” became the lullaby that rocked a warrior to sleep.
Brothers — if you’re tired, you’re not alone.
But don’t confuse rest with retreat.
There’s a difference between sabbath and surrender.
Jesus invites the weary — not the quitters.
“Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)
Rest in Him — not away from Him.
Get alone. Cry out.
Get back in the fight.
Because “I’m just tired” is real.
But so is the battle.
And hell hopes you nap through your calling.
Not today.
