“It will cost you everything.”
This isn’t fear-mongering.
It’s not hyperbole.
It’s the truth Jesus told without flinching.
Let the scroll be opened.
💀 It Means Death to Self
The narrow road is not an upgraded lifestyle — it’s a crucifixion.
Jesus didn’t say, “Add me to your goals.”
He said:
“If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.” — Matthew 16:24
To walk the narrow road is to die before you die.
You must bury:
Your pride
Your ego
Your dreams
Your “truth”
Your flesh
You bring nothing with you except a broken hallelujah.
🏛️ It Means Surrendering Your Kingdom
Everything you built for your own glory must collapse.
“Whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for my sake will find it.” — Matthew 16:25
The world tells you to build your brand.
Jesus says: Burn it down and follow Me.
Your reputation?
Gone.
Your platform?
Surrendered.
Your comfort?
Laid on the altar.
🩸 It Means No Deal, No Compromise
You can’t negotiate with the cross.
There’s no halfway holiness.
No lukewarm loyalty.
This is why the narrow road is so empty.
Many want:
Jesus and their sin
Heaven without holiness
Forgiveness without repentance
But Jesus said:
“No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God.” — Luke 9:62
The cost is total.
🔥 But the Glory Is Eternal
What you lose in the flesh, you gain in the Spirit.
What you sacrifice here, you reap forever.
You trade:
Chains for sonship
Shame for righteousness
Dust for eternity
Death for life
Yes — it will cost you everything.
But here’s the secret:
Everything you gave up was never worth keeping.
And what you receive?
“No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no heart has imagined what God has prepared for those who love Him.” — 1 Corinthians 2:9
So count the cost.
Then step forward.
The road is narrow.
The way is steep.
But the King walks with you.
And the reward is not comfort. Not wealth. Not fame.
The reward is Christ Himself.
Scroll Sealed.
