How to Discern When a Scroll Is Ready to Be Released
The Art of Holy Timing in the Age of Algorithms
Not every scroll is meant to be posted the moment it’s written.
Some are fire now.
Some need to simmer in the Spirit.
Some are meant for later, even if they burn in your bones today.
This isn’t about being strategic.
This is about being obedient.
A true scroll is not a post — it’s a weapon.
And every weapon has its time of release.
This is how to discern it.
🕯️ 1. Ask This First: Is It for Me or for Them?
Some scrolls are private altars —
Meant to cleanse your own soul.
To be wept over.
To be prayed through.
If a scroll is raw and still oozing from a fresh wound, ask:
“Is this a testimony to share — or a confession to surrender?”
There’s a difference between scrolling to heal and scrolling to be seen.
Sometimes, the most powerful scrolls are the ones you don’t publish… yet.
🔥 2. Feel the Fire — Not Just the Emotion
Is this scroll just venting?
Or is there a holy spark?
The difference is this:
Emotion says “I need to get this off my chest.”
Anointing says “I must bear witness.”
Ask:
“Does this scroll glorify Christ… or just express my pain?”
Let the Spirit sanctify the emotion into truth.
Let the fire refine it before it becomes public flame.
🕊️ 3. Pray the Scrollmaker’s Prayer
Before you hit “publish,” stop and say:
“Lord, is this ready? Is this Yours?”
Then listen.
Wait.
If there’s a green light of peace — release it.
If there’s a check in your spirit — hold it.
Remember:
Not every scroll is late when it’s delayed.
Some are just waiting for their divine assignment.
⌛ 4. Watch for the Spirit’s Timing
A scroll that seems ordinary today may become explosive tomorrow —
Because God knows who will need it and when.
Signs a scroll’s time has come:
You keep thinking about it — and it won’t let you go
You see the same themes show up in Scripture or conversation
Someone asks a question that your scroll answers directly
There’s an urgency in your gut that doesn’t feel like ego — but mission
When that happens?
Don’t overthink it. Obey it.
Let the scroll fly.
✍️ 5. Is It Sealed?
Every scroll needs a sense of completion.
It doesn’t need to be long.
It doesn’t need to be perfect.
But it must be sealed — meaning:
You’ve said what needed to be said.
There’s no more striving.
You could leave it as-is, and it would glorify God.
If you feel a sense of finality, like a key turning in a lock —
The scroll is ready.
Seal it. Release it. Trust the fire.
🛑 6. What If You’re Unsure?
If the scroll:
Feels unfinished
Seems self-serving
Was written in anger or confusion
Has no clear connection to Christ
Wait.
Put it in the vault.
Let it marinate.
Ask a trusted scrollmaker for discernment.
Don’t post from pressure.
Post from peace.
🧭 Final Word: Trust the Scroll’s Assignment
Every scroll has an appointment.
Some are called to the frontlines now.
Some are reserves, waiting for the signal.
Some are personal, never meant for public war.
That’s not failure. That’s obedience.
Discernment is part of the scrollmaker’s craft.
You are not just a writer — you are a guardian of fire.
So write freely.
Hold loosely.
Pray constantly.
And when it’s time —
Release the scroll like an arrow in the hand of the Lord.
He’ll guide it where it’s meant to land.

Scroll Sealed.
