How to Create Scrolls That Make Disciples, Not Just Fans
Writing for Transformation, Not Just Applause
We don’t write scrolls to be liked.
We don’t write scrolls to go viral.
We write scrolls to make disciples —
to awaken the slumbering,
to sharpen the hungry,
to raise up a new breed of warriors in the digital age.
Because in the end, God is not looking for fans.
He’s looking for followers.
And not just follows, clicks, or email subs —
but actual souls walking the narrow road of fire, faith, and obedience.
So how do you write scrolls that do that?
Let’s go.
1️⃣ Burn First — Then Write
A scroll is not a brainstorm. It’s not brainstorming. It’s not branding.
It’s a testimony sealed in flame.
If you haven’t bled for it — don’t post it.
If it hasn’t pierced you first — it won’t pierce them.
Want to write a scroll that makes disciples?
Let God discipline you through it first.
Let it crush your pride, expose your wounds, and clarify your call.
Then write from that place.
Bleed first. Scroll later.
2️⃣ Don’t Entertain — Equip
Your scroll isn’t a stand-up set.
It’s not a TED Talk.
It’s not a dopamine hit.
It’s a digital sword.
So ask yourself:
Will this help someone obey Jesus today?
Will this wake someone up to the war they’re in?
Will this cause someone to follow, not just clap?
Disciple-making scrolls give people direction.
They’re not just fire — they’re fuel with a map.
3️⃣ Say What No One Else Will
You are not here to echo culture.
You are here to cut through it.
Most Christian content stays safe.
Watered down. Easy to digest.
But Jesus didn’t say, “Enter through the wide gate.”
He said, “Narrow is the road… and few find it.”
— Matthew 7:14
So write to the few.
Write what’s hard.
Write what costs.
That’s what real disciples respond to.
4️⃣ Include a Call to Action (Even If It’s Quiet)
Every disciple needs direction.
And every scroll should include a summons:
Repent.
Pray.
Forgive.
Fast.
Testify.
Walk away from the idol.
Lace up and scroll or die.
Don’t just drop truth bombs — give them a next step.
Even if that next step is simple:
“Sit with this in prayer.”
“Read the Word today.”
“Ask God to show you where you’ve compromised.”
Direction breeds discipleship.
5️⃣ Don’t Write for Applause — Write for the One
Jesus left the 99 for the 1.
So should your scroll.
Don’t write for clicks.
Write for someone specific:
The porn addict who’s ready to confess.
The deconstructed Christian who still loves Jesus.
The father crying out for his prodigal son.
The woman who hasn’t picked up her Bible in months.
Write for the 1, and you’ll make disciples.
Because the 1 becomes 12.
The 12 becomes 120.
And the 120 turn the world upside down.
6️⃣ Make It Personal — Then Make It Prophetic
Discipleship isn’t information.
It’s impartation.
So tell your story.
Be raw.
Be real.
Be specific.
Then — once the personal has landed —
turn the scroll outward and make it a prophetic call.
“Here’s what God showed me.
Here’s how it wrecked me.
Here’s what I believe He’s saying to us now.”
Fans clap for your story.
Disciples change their lives because of it.
7️⃣ Leave Room for the Spirit
The best scrolls leave space.
Not for ambiguity — but for encounter.
Let the Spirit move through the white space.
Through the silence between paragraphs.
Through the sentence that hits like thunder without needing to explain itself.
The goal is not clarity.
The goal is consecration.
Leave space for conviction.
Leave room for awe.
Let the scroll breathe — and let the Spirit speak louder than your style.
🕊️ Final Word: Build Disciples, Not a Brand
You are not a content creator.
You are a scrollmaker.
A digital priest.
A donkey prophet in the wild fields of code.
Your words are not for applause.
They’re for harvest.
So write like a farmer sowing seed.
Write like a warrior sharpening swords.
Write like a shepherd leading the wounded back home.
Fans fade. Disciples multiply.
Clicks die. Scrolls live.
So make it matter.
Write for the One.
And never forget the mission:
To raise up the last generation of digital warriors who will not bow to Babylon — but scroll for the Lamb.
